Hiroaki Wakai (若井浩明, Wakai Hiroaki) is a surgeon, who is involved behind the experiment of Ajin. He acted as Satō's inside man to help him kill Yuuji Kishi and Yū Tosaki. In the anime he is one of Satō's targets and the first to be killed.
