The Special Assault Team (特殊急襲部隊, Tokushu Kyūshū Butai), or SAT for short, is counter terrorism unit of the Japanese police. Satō dubbed them as the "strongest unit in Japan" and in lore they're called Metropolitan Police Assault Team.
Overview[]
The SAT showed up.
Right after Satō destroys the Grant Pharmaceudical building, the SAT appears and tries to stop him. Instead of using the anaesthetic bullets, the SAT decides to prevent him from resetting/regenerating, perpetually killing him. However, the plan ended up in failure as Satou was assisted by Gen and Takahashi.
Equipment[]
Unit/Operatives[]
The individuals were equipped with Special Fibre body armor, which, according to Satō, provides effective protection against pistols and shotguns at a distance; however, it is not effective against shotguns when encountered at close range and definitely not affective against Rifle or to be exact Sniper rounds.
Several SAT members employed Ballistic Shields, and all the SAT members used Rifles or M4A1 and in the Manga they used MP5.
They wore balaclavas and goggles, and they utilized riot gear such as vests, shoulder padding, and knee pads, which somewhat resembled those of a samurai.
But in the Manga they used riot helmets, balaclavas but still had similar equipment as in the anime and some didn't have a riot visor connected to their helmets and the shield bearers use Glock-17.
Marksman/Sniper[]
They're no different from the Anime and Manga, they did not have helmets nor riot helmets, shield, assault rifle but, they have DMR Or Designated Marksman Rifle.
They have Glock-17 as a Secondary and, what seems to be, an M24 or Remington-700 Rifle for the Marksman or Shooter.

Anime[]
They lost when Takahashi and Gen, his spotter, shot one of the SAT members below, but they were retaliated against by the SAT Snipers stationed atop the buildings close to the Grant Pharmaceudical. One of the Snipers managed to take out Takahashi's rifle, but in exchange, one of Masumi Okuyama's drone with a camera close to the SAT Snipers the two, or the Spotter and the Shooter, distracted by the drone. Tanaka went up behind them and shot them both, and other SAT Snipers were attacked by Tanaka's IBM and it happened before they we're shot.
When the chaos distracted all of the SAT members, Satō took advantage of the situation, snatched up his shotgun, and shot one SAT member right away, swiftly dispatching the other SAT member and finally killing all the SAT members leaving him and his assistants or Takahashi, Gen, Masumi Okuyama, Tanaka.
Manga[]
It's pretty similar to the Anime but, what is different is.
While Takahashi was shot, he sniffed or snorted something and immediately got back, getting his Rifle and positioning himself.
While Tanaka's IBM Continued to moving and jumping buildings to buildings, getting closer to the remaining SAT Shooter and the Spotter while the Spotter kept trying to tell the Shooter to shoot now but, he still kept waiting since the wind is "Negligible" Said by the shooter. But once the wind was steady, and the IBM Finally being near them, the Shooter shot and successfully hitting Takahashi's Rifle, Disabling it from shooting or be used, but in return they we're killed by Tanaka's IBM.
And Okoyuma's drone, instead of exploding it went directly to the tail rotor of the helicopter, causing it to plummet down instantly and crashed.
And after that when Satō, went out instead of saying "I'm beat" He said "Am I tired boy,"
